Founded in 2011, CDP is a cooperative fundraising alliance that pioneers new and innovative fundraising technologies, marketing strategies, and scaled best practices on behalf of more than 230 public radio and television stations.

A history of breakthrough solutions

CDP is an engine of innovation, constantly seeking ways to better the public media system. A few examples:

  • As the charter customer of and investor in CRM platform provider roundCorner, CDP led the development of NGO Connect, a cloud-based fundraising technology recently acquired by Salesforce.org. Nearly 40% of all public broadcasting donors are now managed through this application.

  • In addition, CDP helped to introduce the concept of PBS Passport, the video-on-demand service available to public media donors, and we built the data analytics engine that enables stations to understand and measure Passport usage among viewers. Together, these advanced platforms provide unprecedented insights into donors’ personal preferences, behaviors and philanthropic histories.

  • CDP recently launched a partner service using artificial intelligence to better support major donor development.

  • We deploy Sprinklr, a world-class enterprise social media platform, on behalf of our partner clients looking to strengthen audience and donor engagement.

  • CDP helped build and manage the canvassing organization that has generated nearly a half a million new donors in just 14 markets. We also designed the industry’s only mobile app for door-to-door fundraising to improve the quality of conversations and integration of the data collected.
